volunteer as our Chapter Educator, we now have Kay Dyer who is our new Assistant Chapter Director. Kay is much like Julie and I— she loves to ride and loves the Chapter. We asked her to consider the role because she is always in attendance at all of our events. She has SPUNK, and will do a great job representing and leading our Chapter. We hope you will all congratulate her and welcome her into her new role. It is not easy to accept this responsibility, as many of you past and current officers know. If you haven’t seen her new custom built trailer, just ask her about it and she will show you pictures or the real thing. If you weren’t aware, she rides an Illusion Blue trike, and she doesn’t mind keeping up with us two-wheelers.

We are sorry about all the trouble we have had emailing you and keeping you up on the Chapter activities. We have had some trouble with the computer and the email address site. Yes with Julie’s medical issues, I was less worried about the computer and more worried about her. She will see a surgeon on September 30, and we should know the date of her surgery then. She will have part of her stomach removed, possibly a gallbladder removed, and if she has her way, a tummy tuck added to the procedure. Ha! Ha!

We have truly missed riding with everyone, and the weather is turning downright perfect for it. We are looking forward to seeing the leaves turning colors and the cool desert rides that we couldn’t do recently because of the heat. We will have an officers meeting soon to secure more details on our upcoming Christmas party and then we can update the Chapter members. We are also looking for any donations for our raffle to help sell tickets, which will go toward paying for the dinner party. If you can help us out and/or have any suggestions, please let us know.

A last word of thanks for Micky and Marianne Farrington, as they have resigned as our Assistant Chapter Directors. They have done so much to help the Sierra Eagles grow, and they have shown great dedication and leadership. We appreciate all they have done to hand off the Chapter in such a stable and successful condition. We hope you will all give them your thanks for the tremendous job they did. Micky is still our Chapter Webmaster, but that is a lot less stressful than the positions he and Marianne have held. We hope they will continue to stay active and help bring laughter to our events.

Thanks for all of you and your kind thoughts and wishes!

Ride safe, Ride often,
