Text Box: about all I can think of right now. As you know, the Christmas party is December 8th at the Silver Club in Sparks. The event in your honor will start at 05:30pm on the 2nd floor at the top of the escalators. At least 69 of you now where the event will be held. That will top last year’s record for the most in attendance at one of your Christmas Parties.  Please don’t forget the “white elephant gift” for the party too (approx. $20). Men and women’s gifts will be combined this year for an exciting round of steals, laughs and picture taking. This is probably one of the best parts of the whole party! Rumor has it that the women are more aggressive about “stealing” gifts than the men, and from what we’ve seen, I’ve got to agree! That’s a true compliment to the ladies! Like it or not, winter is upon us as you can tell from the cold temps and snow. Guess it’s getting that time to put our 2-wheelers to rest for longer periods of time. There will be a toy run on December 8th, 2007 where some of the Chapter Members and Chapter Officers will be joining other motorcyclist to share our good fortune with those less fortunate. We will meet at Denney’s (In Sparks) on Nugget Ave at 08:30am for breakfast. Then we will ride to the Nugget and get in line for the parade to the Elk’s Lodge in Reno. Also coming up we have the January 1st ride to the Wig Wam Casino to meet up with Fallon Oasis Wings, Chapter B. We will meet at Denny’s (in Sparks) parking lot and LEAVE no later than 09:30am. For those of you, who wish to brave the weather, please be safe out there and have FUN? If the weather is poor, you can drive the cage to make the journey.   As you may or may not know, next year we would like to change our schedule of events around to make it more readily available to other members. It has been proposed that we change our 3rd Sunday ride to a 3rd Saturday ride in the coming year. Additionally we also plan to change the 4th Thursday Safety Social to the 4th Tuesday Safety Social. You’re right. That will put the Safety Social right back where it use to be before this last change.  At the Christmas Party this year we will be making additional announcements so you probably don’t want to miss out on all the excitement heading your way. If you haven’t signed up for the Christmas Party, don’t despair. You can still pay your $20 per person at the door and enjoy the party. Just remember to bring a White Elephant gift for each member/guest for the gift exchange. Marianne and I would like to express our thanks to the charity and honor of those volunteers that make up your Chapter Officers. Additionally, all of the Chapter Members honor us with participation in Chapter events. We hope that through our actions and commitment we have served the Chapter well and have earned your respect. Our thanks to all of you for making this the best Chapter in GWRRA. We’ve always considered everyone in the Chapter to be family as well as friends. Here’s to the Biggest Little Chapter in the World.   That’s it for now. Marianne and I look forward to the Christmas party and the coming year.
